Seaman, of 146 Bayswater avenue, has been accepted for training as a paramarine with the United States Marine Corps, according to a release from the training centre at Camp LeJeune, New River, North Carolina.”
William was twenty years old when he enlisted as a paramarine and had to make at least six parachute jumps before he finished his training. It is not clear why he chose to enlist with the USA instead of Canada.
