Builder of 146 Bayswater

David Cuthbertson was born in Bristol, Québec, 1843. His parents came from Glasgow. Around the year 1870, at the same time he married his wife Margaret Christina Whillans, he moved to Ottawa. It is then that he volunteered as a soldier in the Fenian Raids. It is not clear when he began his business as a builder/contractor, but he was certainly engaged in that business by 1890.
